Questions Answered

I love how the comments/responses to my questions (from the previous post) contain questions within them!! :)

I agree that the longer we hold on to the past, the more difficult it is for us to move forward. Yet, for our past to have held greater value, we need to at least have learned the lessons it taught us.

There are no guarantees out there. We learn best from our mistakes (hopefully!) So I guess MY answer to my own questions is: put yourself out there but keep your expectations in check. The possibility of disappointment is always there. However, that only affects us in as much as we allow it to.

You can’t control the world or what people do, you can only control the way you respond and react to what happens around you. And make mistakes.. so what?! It's not the end of the world. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and move on! (so cliché!!)

I agree, some times you get shocked how people are thinking and reacting to things, they do it totally the opposite way that you will properly do it or act to it.

and then you think, are they for real?

q8tyshareef: i believe there's a 12-step program for that!

feras: yes, and that's when u stop thinking, shrug ur shoulders and move on. cuz no matter how hard u try, u'll never understand them.. & honestly, it's probably a waste of time to try!

waterlilie: i agree.. now it's time for u to move on to the advanced level; stop fearing disappointment & start accepting it as a normal part of life.. (better be pleasantly surprised than shockingly disappointed!)

tantalize-perpetuate: not quite sure what u mean, but, Happy Eid!! :)

Generally speaking though, you can tell some people's personality just by talking to them, the ones you should be wary about/keep closeno matter what are the people whom you never know what to do around them, they always tend to surprise you/challenge you.
