It's the first official working day of Ramadan (the holy month of peace and restraint!) and people already have a bad case of road rage?! This morning I almost got sandwiched between 2 cars because the one car to my right (entering from an exit) decided that he doesn't want to yield to on coming traffic (me), while the guy to my left decided to continue going at the exact same speed at me, while the guy behind me was not about to slow down. My only option was to floor it.
Seriously, people, SERIOUSLY?!

Tell me about it ... I don't know what happens in Ramadan. The traffic is unbelievable, it took me 1 hour and 15 minutes to get from my house in Salwa to Shuweikh, it used to take me 15 minutes to get from home to work , in Ramadan it is multiplied by 4 :S... Seriously i am getting to the office really tensed..
fractal: mind u, i saw 1 accident on the road today, another coworker said she saw another, and a 3rd said she almost got run over, etc...
Allah Yaster..
Oh man. I knew this will happen. My sis and I left early around 7-ish and didn't witness any accidents, but the usual bottleneck traffic near the BFH area.
Mad world lol.
It is horrendous. Everyone in Bahrain has the same working hours. My sister and I left the house at 7..it took us 45 minutes to reach work. I work as an engineer in Bahrain's Roads Directorate..we really do try our best to facilitate traffic flow to and from the City Center. If you have any complaints or suggestions..plz dont hesitate to e-mail me..
w Mbarak 3lekom el Shahar =)
n.a. u must've just missed it.. it was on the highway by dana mall. i left home at 8:15.. dont have to be at work till 9, but figured y risk it. but the best thing of all, is that mon-thurs i work 11am - 4pm... aaaaah, life is good! =)
nonnah: gulf air & batelco r 7-1 or 8-2... some banks r 9-2, ministries r 8-2.. and for me, other than sun, i should be fine w/my 11-4.
traffic used to be so much better. not sure what happened over the last 3 weeks! it exploded! the prob is that it all flows into ONE main area. having ministries, embassies, banks in one central location is BAD. if i think of anything i'll definitely email u.
3laina o 3laikom inshAllah =)
well at least during ramadan i'm not the worst driver in the world...
delicately realistic: seriously! ;)
izzi: i worry about u!! =)
i hate the crazy traffic here, especially during Ramadan! yesterday we were at the grocery store and there was a guy there w/ major rage. not only did he butt into the check-out line ahead of many others, but then he was parked beside us and was having a fit trying to get out of his parking space. someone had parked too close to him and we thought he would go insane before pulling out.
tooners: so glad they've gotten the full meaning behind this month! ;) shouldnt they CONTAIN their anger??
alfanan: define 'early'? Mon - Th I dont have a problem. I work 11a- 4p. It's just Sunday when I go in 9-2 that gets crowded.
here in egypt ppl already drive like maniacs in normal days...so i can't possibly describe what its like now ....
btw, i'm starving dhuuuuhhh...
solution: get out of bed at 4:00am, leave work earlier than 1:00pm
still breathing: good luck!
flippa x: unfortunately, i dont get to call the shots of when i leave work. it's ok. i dont mind ramadan timings at all! it's pretty convenient.

Journaling Strategies To Make It Easy Contemplate for a moment how you felt the instant you laid eyes on your very first love. Is that how you feel about this person today? What do you think about this person, if you even think about them at all anymore? Remembering back to that moment, are you able to articulate your faith experience from that time? How would you describe your faith now? Where our thoughts, feelings and faith fit into our journaling process are as crucial as every other element, if not more so. Recognizing them as the main ingredients of the whole of life is about as simple, and as complicated, as as it gets. If you are able to clarify your thoughts, feelings and faith around an earlier or present experience through journaling them, you have the capacity to transform your life.
