Moments in time, captured.
'cause thats the way it is :)
Because we take things for granted ;) But it beats never having that thing in the first place :P
Because we take life and people we love for granted. And we believe we have the time to fit them in our life, which we don't. Foolish believes. And we are some time foolish believers.
if we did not, then we will not be human.
Perhaps, it’s because if we did know what we had and how valuable it is to us we would be so afraid of losing it that we’d live our lives in fear. Perhaps it’s a mercy that we don’t genuinely believe that bad things can happen to us too and that we could lose people, friendships, etc. Perhaps life is less suffocating because we don’t realize how huge everything is in importance. I know even if I have as little as a paper cut on one of my fingers it shocks me into actually contemplating the importance of my hand and what a blessing it is for me to even have one.
laialy: but it doesn't have to be that way.. does it?7tenths: wouldnt it be even better if we learn hold on to it instead?hussa-g: yes, we take them for granted. but if we know this, why can't we learn to find a way around it?hattorihanzo: what's so human about taking things for granted? being human we should know better..zinzin: life will end for all. knowing that everything must come to an end should teach us to hold on to the good things in our life better. we take care of our cars, possessions, but not the humans in our life. laish?
MSB: That's the nature of human, have you ever seen any one that dose not take things for granted? well some times yes, like 5 or 6% but the rest are all the same.
i THINK its becoz ppl tend to give their time and attention to the things in life that eventually destroy them, or do them no real goodmeanwhile, all the things that really matter slip away ever so slowlyits when the things that really matter go forever, that one starts to realize how much one is willing to "trade" from what he owns in exchange for what he did not cherishi.e. one realizes how little, or nothing, what he owns is worth .. when directly compared to the things that are too late to acquireonce one is struck hard with the reality of whats worth what, the only reason to make it up for oneself is to feel sorry .. hence, "yalaitni sawait katha wa katha"it really gets a lot simpler when u think of life as a stock exchange :)
Sometimes that is the best thing: to remember what we had instead of having it continuously. Everything ends. Pain resumes but elation follows. The elations lengthen while the pains widen. The memories barely hold on. Human cycling.
cuz abscence makes the heart grow fonder ;P~ believe me! when somethings always there, u get bored, when its not, u miss it ;)
hattorihanzo: i agree.. but if some can do it, so can the rest of us. we just chose not to fully appreciate something until it's too late. we just assume it will continue.temetwir: i agree. we give attn to the wrong things. & you would think that people would learn from their mistakes. lil asaf, they dont! the loop continuous!tantalize: true. see my next post which addresses something similar.charisma: yes.. but just like ur latest post (Chaffing), u might not even realize ur losing something until u've lost it and it's too late to get it back! :)
i know exactly what you mean !! and you know wut is even worse !!! the guilt trip that you have to live with until God knows when !
Humans alot of the times are selfish beings. We fail to acknowledge what God has given us -health, family, friends, love etc. We take these things for granted and refuse to expand our thinking horizon as to what we would be without these things. We fail to make the best use of what we have. However what comes to mind is what about people who've never had a sense of belonging? They don't know what it feels like once it's gone coz they never had it.Sad but true....
kjb: sa7 elsanek!!
