i know! i bought one last week. it's nice cuz i normally listen to Quran in the car on the way to work. now i can actually do it in some sort of order so i can akthem el Quran while i'm at it. and to top it off, it's convenient to take on a plane or anywhere.

kjb: ee.. yala, when u come back home, i'll show u where to go to get one :) o perhaps u can get one as a gift for ur mom or dad ;) (i want commission!)

irfs: i'm not sure if u have an older version or not.. the quality isn't the best, but it's still good. i'm hoping if this gets popular and sales pick up, that they'll improve on it as well. i love its convenience!

great :)

but, cant u "download" the whole Quran on ur ipod in mp3 format and keep the quality (or whatever features i really dont know) that the ipod has?

temetwir: yes, i'm sure that it can be downloaded on a normal iPod. however, this has other features such as:

* you can bookmark what verse you left off at last time (as it actually shows u the text, not just audio)

* it contains translations

* it contains software to help u locate Al Qubla

* it contains software that tells u prayer times based on ur location (including athan if u so choose)

* it has several ad3eya (including du3a2 khatem el Quran)

the list goes on :)

7tenths: e i know.. bs tadry, cell phones started out the same way o look at how they've evolved..

quality wise, it definitely could be better.. bs el meshkila, if there's no eqbal on this product, then i doubt they'll improve on it much.

helloo ...
nice post ...but i have a comment on what u said :

quality wise, it definitely could be better.. bs el meshkila, if there's no eqbal on this product, then i doubt they'll improve on it much.

i think improvement will not happen if there isnt any competation , but if we do what u say buy it to improve it ..the seller will say : unless its good they didnt buy it all ! , why bother to improve a selling product !!
as for the mobile ...because of different brands they had to improve it ....or they will not get thier cut of the market
still nice post :)

bo_sale7: that's a possibility as well. but for competition to be interested in getting into the market, the market has to be attractive. o it wont be attractive unless ppl were interested in this product o bought enough of it for competition to consider jumping into that niche.

honestly, regardless of WHY they do it, i would love for this to be improved upon and continously sold. 7aram el Moslmeen r so into buying iPods & memorizing songs, o not many r paying attention to el Quran el Kareem :/
